Minnesota Youth Swine Series
Our Mission
The Minnesota Youth Swine Series exists to develop young people through the swine industry. Grounded in agriculture and focused on growth, we provide opportunities that build leadership, character, and industry knowledge while promoting a competitive environment rooted in integrity, hard work, and respect.
Who We Are
The MYSS program provides youth exhibitors the opportunity to earn points through participation in a series of sanctioned shows throughout the season, encouraging growth, dedication, and excellence.
At season’s end, exhibitors are recognized for their achievements across several categories, including breed divisions for barrows and gilts, as well as age-based showmanship awards. Overall high-point honors are awarded based on each exhibitor’s two highest-scoring animals combined with their showmanship performance, highlighting both livestock quality and presentation skills.
Through the MYSS program, youth are encouraged to develop their talents, build strong work ethic, and strive for excellence, making each show an opportunity to grow, compete, and be recognized for their achievements.
